…but I can’t put it here.
Lily: If your favorite color is blue, why did you paint the house pink?
August: That was May’s doing. When we went to the paint shop, she latched onto a color called “Caribbean Pink.” She said it made her feel like dancing a Spanish flamenco. I personally thought it was the tackiest color I had ever seen, but I figured if it could lift May’s heart, it was good enough to live in.
Lily: That was awfully nice of you.
August: Well, I don’t know. Some things don’t matter much. Like the color of a house. How big is that in the overall scheme of life? But lifting someone’s heart? Now, that matters. The whole problem with people is…they know what matters, but they don’t choose it…The hardest thing on earth is choosing what matters.

I hate when people aren’t honest with me. If you think I’m distracted, if you think I’m texting too much, say it to my face, not my friends. You actually have no idea what you’re talking about or what I’m trying to deal with over the phone so stop assuming and grow up. Thought we were done with this crap, I’m not interested in being friends with people who aren’t.
